Bites of the Bay- Spring Edition
Bites of the Bay is back and we are going to learn all about the seasonal fresh seafood available in the Pacific Northwest! We always say “Buy Localƒ? so, lets learn about fresh Oregon pink shrimp and the flavors around scampi as well as some beautiful halibut filets that you will crust and sear for main course! You will learn how to grill some lemons to make a unique and light vinaigrette to go with a fresh salad, as well as cooking the perfect creamy polenta on the stovetop to accompany our seafood. You will learn to roast seasonal vegetables and create a perfect pan sauce. To finish, we will make vanilla gelato and cover it in hot brewed coffee.
Class culminates in a family style meal around our beautiful barn-wood tables.
On the menuƒ?? spring greens salad with charred lemon and dill vinaigrette ~ Oregon pink shrimp scampi ~ creamy herb polenta ~ charred asparagus with tarragon cream sauce ~ seared panko crusted halibut filets ~ affogato with vanilla gelato
Enjoy a glass of wine or beer upon arrival, and another with dinner. All non-alcoholic beverages are also included.
