Cooking in Florence Guest Chef Series – For the Love of Pasta

For this weekend only, The Kitchen is so excited to be hosting two guest chefs from Florence, Italy: Chef Laura Franceschetti and Chef Gianluca Somigli of “Cooking in Florence.ƒ? When cooking, serving, or instructing, Laura and Gianluca prefer to engage with participants, share stories, and tell jokes. Laura (Gianluca says) is the preeminent lady of the house, the padrona di casa, while Gianluca (Laura says) is the creative force, a “gypsy chefƒ? with global experience.?ÿRespectively from Florence and Fiesole, they were both raised in Tuscan families where top-shelf, seasonal ingredients were prioritized over everything else in the kitchen.?ÿWhen that sort of attitude is in your blood, Laura says “Everything we do revolves around our love for the table.ƒ?
In our final class of the series, you have the opportunity to learn from Laura and Gianluca all the best techniques for playing with pasta! With a little time and a lot of love, you will have the confidence to add fresh pasta to your meal repertoire any night of the week. From mixing and rolling out your doughs, to exploring the differences between traditional pasta textures and shapes, to perfecting a seasonal sauce, the chefs will have you ready to bring the excitement of home-made pasta to your own kitchen!
