Foodie’s Night Out: Spanish Tapas and Pintxos – APRIL 2024

So many great things come from a Spanish pantry; saffron, manchego, chorizo, pimenton, anchovy, sherry vinegar! We’ll use them all to create a celebration around the traditional Spanish small plates – tapas and pintxos! We’ll use fresh, seasonal Pacific Northwest seafood to make delectable shrimp and mussels in cast iron pans.We’ll celebrate Spanish cheese like Cabrales and Manchego as fillings for crispy fried olives and savory stuffed dates. You’ll also learn other great tapas techniques and sauces to round out the meal. Class culminates with a delicious meal enjoyed family style around our beautiful barn wood tables!

On the menu . . . tortilla espanola with romesco sauce ~ cast iron shrimp and mussels with grilled bread and saffron garlic butter ~ cabrales-stuffed fried olives ~ goat cheese and carmelized onion empanadas ~ pear salad with serrano ham and marcona almonds ~ orange almond torte
