EXCERPT: As the rain starts to fall, beautiful edibles are developing in the Oregon forests. Come learn about what is good to eat, and how to best prepare them!

Beautiful mushrooms are ready to be found. Let us teach you what to do with them!

From the Wild: Mushroom Cookery

As we enjoy the wetter climate of fall, we see a surge in beautiful wild mushrooms. Join Chef Jeremiah, our resident mushroom forager and expert, as he shares details and bounty of his foraging expeditions and how to bring these finds to the table in the best way. You’ll learn tips for foraging, how to identify what to eat and what to leave behind, and then what cooking techniques best service the mushrooms you find.

Not to worry, we will include other locally grown mushrooms that were once considered “wild” and talk about how you could cultivate them at home. This class may get a little nerdy, but it will end in some of the best foraged food you’ve ever enjoyed!

You Will Learn

Identifying wild edibles
