May is the time when Portland area farmer’ markets really get going. ?ÿLet’s take a field trip to neighboring Lake Oswego Farmer’s Market for their opening day! We’ll meet at the market entrance and take a tour, grabbing what looks best to take back to The Kitchen. ?ÿI’m hoping to see beautiful spring onions, radishes, asparagus, peas & lettuces. ?ÿMaybe we’ll see something that you’ve never worked with and grab that too! Youƒ??ll master a few techniques like how to properly balance a vinaigrette, and making a pesto, opening up many possibilities when you peruse your pantry and pair it with your market basket. ?ÿIn addition, youƒ??ll learn about basic knife skills, what pantry staples you must have, and weƒ??ll create?ÿrecipes together inspired by the market! ?ÿWeƒ??ll end class around the kitchen table enjoying?ÿlunch from our bounty with local wine.
