Two Day Bread Camp for Grown Ups

Oh the delightful scent of freshly baked bread and pastries as you walk into your favorite bakery. This moment could only be improved upon by the satisfaction of enjoying this moment in your own kitchen by the love of your own two hands.  Baking can be intimidating, but the staff of life can be easily created and then improved upon by getting your hands covered in the stuff whenever the mood strikes. Bread’s are fun to create and require no machinery to make a satisfying show stopper. However, what a good bread does require is a bit of time. Thus we have created a two day bread camp for adults. Come and spend a few hours on a Saturday and Sunday morning with us while we geek out on sour dough starters, pre ferments, yeast, types of flour, proper mixing, fermentation, proofing and baking. This camp is a great way to begin or improve how to bake with yeast.
This class is not gluten free.

Day 1-Sour dough starters/mixing sour dough, Bagels-Mixing Dough, Brioche- Mixing Dough, Pizza

A lunch of your house made pizza, summer green salad and fresh berry sorbet will served for lunch on Day 1.

Day 2- Bake Sour Dough, Poach/ Bake Bagels, Shape/Bake Brioche Sweet and Savory Pastries, Focaccia.

A brunch of freshly baked bagels with all of the fixings, along with all the wonderful baked products will be served as a meal for  day 2.

Camp includes two glasses of wine or beer each day.  All non-alcoholic beverages are also included!
